When My Ex-Wife Ripped Up My Future, I Uncovered Her Darkest Secret That Changed Everything

When My Ex-Wife Ripped Up My Future, I Uncovered Her Darkest Secret That Changed Everything Save

Section 5

The clock on the wall ticked loudly in Sarah's cramped office, drowning out the chaos swirling in his mind. “You need to find a way to resolve this fraud claim before the surgery,” she urged, her voice taut with urgency. He nodded, though doubt coiled tightly in his stomach.

“I have to do this for my mom, but I can’t even see straight with what Jen has done.” He rubbed his temples, feeling the weight of her manipulations like a vise around his thoughts.

As Sarah flipped through the contract with the biomedical company, her brow furrowed deeper. “Wait, what’s this?” She pointed at a section that had gone unnoticed in the haze of his desperation.

“If any claims of fraud are initiated or unresolved, the agreement may be deemed void.”

He stared at the clause, the implications crashing down on him like a tidal wave. “So if I don’t clear this up, the whole deal is off?” The room felt smaller, the walls closing in.

“Exactly. We need to act fast.” Just then, his phone buzzed on the table, cutting through the tension. It was a call from the bank. “This can’t be good.”

He answered, breathless. “Hello?”

“Mr. Thompson, this is Paula from the legal team. We need you to come in for an urgent meeting.”

His heart raced. “What’s going on?”

“It’s best discussed in person. Bring any documentation you have regarding the fraud claim.”

He glanced at Sarah, who was already standing, her expression a mix of concern and determination. “Let’s go. We need to figure this out now!”

Section 6

Inside the bank’s conference room, tension thrummed in the air like a taut wire. The regional president sat at the head of the table, flanked by his legal team. He was an imposing figure, one who didn’t seem accustomed to being challenged.

“We’ve reviewed your documentation,” the president stated, his voice even. “But the issue at hand is more complicated than you may realize.”

“What do you mean?” His voice barely masked his rising panic.

“Your ex-wife, Ms. Jennings… she’s been in contact with us regarding your situation.”

His blood ran cold. “What do you mean?”

“She’s been blackmailing us. Threatening to undermine not only the investment but also your patent claim if we proceed to flag your account publicly.”

A sickening realization crashed over him. “She’s been manipulating this whole thing from the start.” The words fell from his lips like a stone.

The president nodded. “She’s positioned herself as a valuable ally in our dealings, and we can’t afford to lose her influence.”

Shock coursed through him, overwhelming his senses. “All this time, she’s been pulling the strings, controlling everything.”

The president’s gaze hardened. “If you want to save your deal, you’ll need to find a way to resolve this quietly. Otherwise, not just your career, but your mother’s future hangs in the balance.”

The weight of the truth settled heavily on his shoulders. His ex-wife hadn’t just ripped up his future; she had been orchestrating his demise, and now she loomed larger than ever in the shadows.
