I Fell From the Sky, But My Husband Had No Idea I Was Ready For This Moment

I Fell From the Sky, But My Husband Had No Idea I Was Ready For This Moment Save

Plunged into the Abyss

The air rushed past me as I fell, my instincts kicking in instinctively. The ocean awaited below, its surface glistening like a deceptive mirror of calm. The helicopter's blades echoed above, drowning out the chaos in my mind as I hit the water with a violent splash.

Submerged, I thrashed against the cold grip of the ocean, driven by a primal need to survive. Panic clawed at my chest as I fought my way to the surface, my body crying out from the sudden shock. I gasped as I broke through, the salty air stinging my lungs and filling me with a desperate resolve.

Above me, the helicopter hovered, its pilot silhouetted against the sunlight. Richard's face arrested my attention—a mixture of disbelief and horror painted across his features. He had done this; he had betrayed me in the most unforgivable way. But as my heart raced, I knew I needed to keep fighting. Not just for myself, but for my baby.

With every ounce of strength, I propelled myself toward the shore, the rhythmic crashing of waves urging me onward. I could feel the water's relentless push beneath me, but I refused to let it consume me. I belonged on land, with my child. I could not die here.

Clinging to Survival

Finally, the rocky shoreline began to take shape, jagged and uninviting. My body felt battered, each wave a reminder of Richard's treachery. I crawled, scraping my knees and palms against the rough stones, pushing through the agony until I collapsed onto the damp sand.

As I lay there, gasping for breath, I heard voices—a couple nearby, their words cutting through the fog of my exhaustion. “Did you hear about the missing pregnant woman?” one said. “They think she fell from a helicopter.” My blood ran cold. Richard would claim I had vanished into the depths.

Shock gripped me as I clenched my fists. If he got away with this, all my preparations would mean nothing. I had to prove him wrong, to fight against the lie that would seal my fate. But how?

Just then, I caught the sound of footsteps approaching on the gravelly path. My heart raced. Was it someone from the couple? Or was it Richard, coming to finish what he'd started? I couldn’t let anyone discover I was alive yet; I had more to do.

Just then, she hears footsteps approaching.
