Ingredients

1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey)

1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade seasoning)

4 small flour tortillas

1 cup refried beans

1 ½ cups shredded three-cheese blend (cheddar, Monterey Jack, and mozzarella)

1 cup diced tomatoes

½ cup sliced black olives (optional)

1 cup chopped green onions

½ cup sour cream

1 cup shredded lettuce

½ cup salsa

Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

Cook the Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat, then stir in the taco seasoning with a bit of water as per package instructions. Set aside.

Fry the Tortillas: In a deep skillet, heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add two flour tortillas one at a time. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 30-45 seconds per side. Remove and place on paper towels to drain. Repeat with the remaining tortillas.

Assemble the Pizza Base: Spread about ¼ cup of refried beans on the first fried tortilla. Spoon ½ of the seasoned beef over the beans, then sprinkle with ½ cup of the shredded cheese. Place the second fried tortilla on top.

Add Toppings: Repeat the process for the second pizza: spread refried beans, add remaining beef, and top with the remaining cheese.

Bake the Pizza: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the assembled pizzas on a baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Finish With Fresh Toppings: Once baked, take them out of the oven and top each pizza with diced tomatoes, sliced olives, and chopped green onions. Drizzle with sour cream and serve alongside salsa. Sprinkle shredded lettuce over the top, if desired.

Slice and Serve: Cut the pizza into quarters and enjoy your homemade Taco Bell-style Mexican Pizza hot!
