1 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup cornstarch

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed into a fine powder

1 cup chocolate kisses (or any chocolate candies)

Extra powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

    Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. This may take about 3-4 minutes using an electric mixer.

      Add Vanilla: Mix in the vanilla extract until well combined.

        Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, and crushed freeze-dried strawberries.

          Mix Dry Ingredients with Wet: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing to ensure soft cookies.

            Shape Cookies: Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, form dough balls and place them on the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

                Add Chocolate Kisses: Remove the cookies from the oven and immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes.
