Ingredients

8 oz fettuccine pasta

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tbsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)

2 tbsp olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup chicken broth (or vegetable broth)

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Season the Shrimp: In a large bowl, toss the peeled and deveined shrimp with Cajun seasoning, ensuring they are evenly coated.

Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add the seasoned shrimp. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until the shrimp turns pink and is cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth and let it simmer for about 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Reduce the heat to low, and slowly add the heavy cream, stirring to combine.

Add Cheese and Seasoning: Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. If desired, add cayenne pepper for extra heat. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combine Pasta and Shrimp: Add the cooked fettuccine pasta to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly. Add the cooked shrimp back into the skillet and mix until everything is well combined.

Garnish and Serve: Serve the pasta hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley and lemon wedges on the side for an extra zesty kick.
