Ingredients

2.5 to 3 pounds turkey breast (boneless and skinless)

1/2 cup pure maple syrup

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)

1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 cup low-sodium chicken broth

Fresh rosemary sprigs, for garnish (optional)

Sliced green onions, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Turkey: Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

Make the Maple Glaze: In a medium bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, and olive oil until well combined.

Sear the Turkey (Optional): In a skillet over medium-high heat, sear the turkey breast for about 3-4 minutes per side until browned. This step enhances the flavor, but you can skip it if you're short on time.

Transfer to Slow Cooker: Place the turkey breast in the slow cooker. Pour the prepared maple glaze over the turkey, ensuring it is well coated. Add the chicken broth to the bottom of the slow cooker to keep the turkey moist during cooking.

Cook the Turkey: Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. The turkey is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

Rest and Slice: Once cooked, carefully remove the turkey breast from the slow cooker and let it rest for about 10-15 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute for a more flavorful and moist turkey.

Serve: Slice the turkey breast and drizzle with the remaining maple glaze from the slow cooker. Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs and sliced green onions, if desired. Serve with your favorite sides.
