Ingredients

2-3 lbs baby back ribs

1 cup honey

1 cup ketchup

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

2 teaspoons smoked paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Ribs: Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs to enhance flavor absorption. Cut the ribs into smaller sections (if needed) to fit into your slow cooker.

Make the BBQ Sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together the honey, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ground black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper (if using) until smooth and well combined.

Coat the Ribs: Place the ribs in the slow cooker and pour half of the BBQ sauce over them. Using your hands or tongs, ensure the ribs are well-coated in the sauce.

Cook the Ribs: Cover the slow cooker with its lid and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the ribs are tender and the meat is easily pulled away from the bone.

Finish with a Glaze: If you want a sticky glaze, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Once the ribs are done in the slow cooker, transfer them to a baking sheet lined with foil. Brush the remaining BBQ sauce over the ribs and place them in the oven for 10-15 minutes or until caramelized and slightly crispy.

Serve: Remove the ribs from the oven, let them rest for a few minutes, then slice between the bones. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Enjoy! Serve with coleslaw and cornbread for a true BBQ experience!
