4 cups Rice Krispies cereal

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1 cup shredded coconut, toasted

1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

Prepare the baking dish: Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray, or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

    Toast the coconut: In a dry skillet over medium heat, add the shredded coconut and toast for 3-5 minutes, stirring regularly until golden brown. Remove from heat and set aside.

      Melt butter and marshmallows: In a large saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, add the mini marshmallows and stir until fully melted and creamy.

        Add flavors: Stir in the sea salt and vanilla extract into the melted marshmallow mixture. Mix well until fully combined.

          Combine the cereal: Remove the saucepan from heat and gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal, ensuring it's evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.

            Incorporate caramel and toasted coconut: Add half of the toasted coconut and half of the caramel sauce to the mixture, folding them in gently until evenly distributed.

              Transfer to baking dish: Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, pressing it down firmly to create an even layer. Use a spatula or wax paper to help press it down.

                Add chocolate and remaining toppings: Drizzle the remaining caramel on top of the Rice Krispies treats. Then, sprinkle the rest of the toasted coconut over the caramel. Finally, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth, then drizzle the melted chocolate over the top.

                  Set it up: Allow the treats to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes or until set. For quicker results, place them in the fridge for 15-20 minutes.
