Ingredients

1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

3 tablespoons olive oil

1/4 cup honey

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a kick)

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: Rinse the Brussels sprouts thoroughly and trim the ends. Cut them in half lengthwise to ensure even roasting.

Make the Honey Garlic Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). This will be your flavorful marinade.

Toss the Sprouts: In a large mixing bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts with the honey garlic sauce. Toss until all the Brussels sprouts are evenly coated.

Roast: Spread the coated Brussels sprouts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure they are not overcrowded to allow for even roasting. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crisp-tender. Be sure to stir halfway through cooking for even browning.

Garnish: Once roasted, remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes. Sprinkle with fresh parsley for a pop of color and additional flavor.

Serve: Transfer the roasted Brussels sprouts to a serving dish and serve warm, accompanied by lemon wedges for an optional zesty finish.
