1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

6 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Zest of 1/2 teaspoon onion powder (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

    Prepare Green Beans: Wash the green beans thoroughly and trim the ends. Place them in a large mixing bowl.

      Melt Butter & Mix Ingredients: In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter slowly. Add the minced garlic and sauté gently for about 3 minutes until fragrant and slightly golden (be careful not to burn the garlic).

        Seasoning: Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes (if using), and onion powder (if using). This flavorful mixture will coat the green beans beautifully!

          Combine and Coat: Pour the garlic butter mixture over the green beans in the mixing bowl. Toss everything together until the green beans are evenly coated.
