1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

1 cup water

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Ice cream or whipped cream (for serving, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare Baking Dish: Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.

Layer Ingredients: Pour the pecan pie filling into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

Add Pecans: Evenly sprinkle the chopped pecans over the pie filling.

Cake Mix Layer: Pour the dry yellow cake mix over the pecans and pie filling, spreading it out evenly but do not stir.

Mix Butter and Liquid: In a bowl, combine the melted butter, water, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon. Mix well.

Pour Butter Mixture: Pour the butter mixture over the cake mix layer, ensuring to cover it as evenly as possible. Do not stir; let the mixture settle naturally.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. Scoop into bowls and top with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
