Ingredients

4 bone-in pork chops (about 1-inch thick)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped (or 1/2 teaspoon dried)

1 teaspoon fresh thyme, finely chopped (or 1/2 teaspoon dried)

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

Juice of 1 lemon

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.

Season the Pork Chops: Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Rub both sides with olive oil, then sprinkle salt and pepper generously on both sides.

Add Garlic Butter: Take half of the garlic butter mixture and spread it evenly over the tops of the pork chops.

Sear the Pork Chops (optional): In a large oven-safe skillet, heat over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. This step enhances flavor but is optional.

Bake in the Oven: After searing, pour the lemon juice over the pork chops. Add the remaining garlic butter mixture on top. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.

Bake: Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork chops reaches 145°F (63°C). Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the chops.

Rest the Chops: Once cooked through, remove the skillet from the oven and let the pork chops rest for about 5 minutes to retain their juices.

Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving. Pair with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
