Ingredients

2 cups whole milk (or your favorite non-dairy alternative)

1 tablespoon loose leaf chai tea or 2 chai tea bags

1/2 cup water

2 tablespoons pure maple syrup (adjust to taste)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (plus extra for garnish)

A pinch of ground ginger

A pinch of ground cardamom

A pinch of black pepper

Whipped cream (optional, for topping)

Instructions

Boil Water: In a small saucepan, bring the 1/2 cup of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat.

Steep Chai: Add the loose leaf chai tea or tea bags to the boiling water. Steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength. If you used loose tea, strain it after steeping.

Heat Milk: In another saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until steaming, but do not bring to a boil.

Combine Ingredients: In the pan with steamed milk, whisk in the steeped chai tea, maple syrup, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, ground cardamom, and black pepper until well combined.

Froth Milk (Optional): For a frothy texture, you can use a milk frother or an immersion blender to froth the mixture lightly.

Serve: Pour the maple chai latte into your favorite mug. Top with whipped cream if desired, and sprinkle with a dash of cinnamon for an extra cozy touch.

Enjoy: Sip your cozy and delicious Maple Chai Latte and let the warm spices and sweet maple envelop you in comfort!
