Ingredients

2 cups cooked macaroni pasta

1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/2 cup milk

2 large eggs

1 cup breadcrumbs

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 lb ground beef (or plant-based alternative)

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Burger buns (4)

Lettuce leaves, tomato slices, pickles (for toppings)

Olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

Prep the Mac 'N Cheese: In a large pot, cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and return to the pot. Stir in the cheddar and mozzarella cheese, milk, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until the cheeses are melted and everything is well combined.

Form the Mac 'N Cheese Patties: Allow the mac 'n cheese mixture to cool slightly. Once cool, shape into 4 patties. Coat each patty in flour, dip into beaten eggs, and then roll in breadcrumbs to create a crispy outer layer.

Cook the Patties: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Carefully place the mac 'n cheese patties in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

Prepare the Burger Patties: In a bowl, combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 burger patties. In a clean skillet, cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

Make the Waffle Buns: Preheat a waffle iron. Once hot, place a mac 'n cheese patty inside the waffle iron, close the lid, and cook according to manufacturer's instructions, about 5-7 minutes until crispy.

Assemble the Burger: Start with a mac 'n cheese waffle as the base, add a beef patty, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Top with another mac 'n cheese waffle.

Serve: Serve your Mac 'N Cheese Waffle Burger hot with a side of fries or a salad for a complete meal. Enjoy!
