Ingredients

1 lb ground turkey (preferably lean)

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (whole wheat or gluten-free)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 large egg

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/4 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)

Cooking spray or olive oil for baking

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, chopped parsley, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, dried oregano, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined—avoid overmixing to keep meatballs tender.

Add Milk: Gradually add the milk to the mixture, continuing to mix until fully incorporated. The mixture should be moist but not overly wet.

Form Meatballs: Using your hands, scoop out about 2 tablespoons of the mixture for each meatball and shape them into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one.

Bake: Lightly spray or brush the meatballs with cooking spray or olive oil. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until they are cooked through and golden brown on the outside (internal temperature should reach 165°F / 74°C).

Serve: Once baked, remove the meatballs from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve with whole-grain pasta, zucchini noodles, or on their own with a side of marinara sauce for dipping. Garnish with extra parsley if desired.
