Ingredients

1 lb (450g) raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

1/4 cup honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Whisk well until the ingredients are evenly mixed.

Marinate the Shrimp: Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the marinade. Ensure the shrimp are fully coated. Let it marinate for at least 15-30 minutes in the refrigerator for maximum flavor.

Heat the Oil: In a large skillet or frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking.

Cook the Shrimp: Add the marinated shrimp to the skillet in a single layer, reserving the marinade. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they start turning pink.

Add the Marinade: Flip the shrimp over, then pour the reserved marinade into the skillet. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat the shrimp.

Season: Taste the shrimp and season with salt and pepper as needed.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately over steamed rice or alongside sautéed vegetables.
