Ingredients

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup brown sugar, packed

2 large eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp almond extract

1 cup chocolate chips (orange or regular)

½ cup Halloween-themed sprinkles

Food coloring (green, orange, and purple)

Edible glitter (optional for decoration)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until it’s light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and almond extract to the butter mixture, beating well until combined.

Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Divide the dough into three equal portions. Add a few drops of food coloring to each portion (green, orange, and purple) and mix until the colors are well incorporated.

Stir in the chocolate chips and Halloween-themed sprinkles into each colored dough.

Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop balls of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each ball to allow for spreading.

For a fun decoration, you can add a few extra sprinkles or chocolate chips to the tops of the cookies before baking.

Bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the centers are still soft.

Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

If desired, sprinkle edible glitter on top of the cookies for an extra festive touch!
