Ingredients

4 cups all-purpose flour

2 ¼ teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast

1 teaspoon sugar

1 ½ teaspoons salt

1 ½ cups warm milk (about 110°F or 43°C)

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

6 tablespoons unsalted butter, for brushing

3 cloves garlic, minced

¼ cup fresh parsley, finely chopped

½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional, for extra flavor)

Kosher salt, for sprinkling

Instructions

Activate the Yeast: In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and active dry yeast. Allow it to sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.

Kneading: Transfer the dough to a floured surface. Knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. If needed, add more flour a tablespoon at a time until the dough is not sticky.

First Rise: Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, about 1 to 1.5 hours.

Shape the Rolls: Once doubled, punch down the dough and turn it out onto a floured surface. Divide it into 12 equal pieces and shape each piece into a ball. Place the balls in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

Second Rise: Cover the rolls with a kitchen towel and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes, or until puffy.

Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small saucepan, melt the 6 tablespoons of butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic, chopped parsley, and garlic powder (if using). Stir briefly until fragrant, be careful not to burn the garlic.

Bake the Rolls: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush the risen rolls with half of the garlic butter mixture and sprinkle a pinch of kosher salt over the top.

Bake for 20-25 Minutes: Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown on top.

Finish with Garlic Butter: Once baked, remove from the oven and immediately brush the remaining garlic butter over the rolls. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Serve and Enjoy: Serve warm, and enjoy the delightful aroma and flavor of these golden garlic butter dinner rolls!
