Ingredients

1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed

4 cloves garlic, minced

3 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon sea salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

In a large bowl, combine the trimmed green beans, minced garlic, olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss everything until the green beans are well-coated.

Spread the green bean mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are in a single layer for even roasting.

Roast in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through, until the green beans are tender and slightly crispy.

Remove from the oven and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the roasted green beans. If desired, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.

Serve warm as a delicious side dish or toss into a salad for added flavor!
