Ingredients

1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon paprika (smoked or sweet)

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: Rinse the Brussels sprouts under cold water, removing any outer leaves if necessary. Trim the ends and slice them in half.

Mix the Seasoning: In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Stir well to create a flavorful oil mixture.

Coat the Sprouts: Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the bowl and toss them in the oil mixture until they are evenly coated.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Spread the Brussels sprouts out in a single layer on a large baking sheet. Ensure they have enough space between them for optimal roasting.

Roast: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the Brussels sprouts are golden brown and crispy on the outside.

Add Cheese: Once roasted, remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and immediately sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over them. If desired, drizzle with balsamic vinegar.

Final Bake: Return the baking sheet to the oven for an additional 3-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve hot as a delectable side dish!
