Ingredients

1 loaf of fresh bread (preferably pull-apart or Italian bread)

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

4 cloves of garlic, minced

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried parsley)

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Bread: Take the loaf of bread and make cuts about 1 inch apart, slicing through the top but not all the way through to the bottom, creating a grid pattern. Place the loaf on a sheet of aluminum foil for easy handling.

Make Garlic Butter Mixture: In a medium bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning (if using) until well combined.

Fill the Bread: Using a brush or spoon, generously drizzle the garlic butter mixture between the cuts in the bread. Make sure to get some of that garlicky goodness all the way through!

Add Cheese: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese generously between the cuts and over the top of the loaf.

Wrap and Bake: Wrap the loaf in the aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for about 15-20 minutes, until the bread is heated through and the cheese is melted.

Crisp the Top: Unwrap the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the top is golden and crispy. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning!

Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a minute. Pull apart the sections and serve warm, ideal for sharing!
