Ingredients

1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

3 tbsp olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)

1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C). This high temperature helps achieve that crispy texture we love.

Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: In a large bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika (if using). Toss everything together until the Brussels sprouts are well coated.

Roast the Brussels Sprouts: Spread the coated Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet, making sure not to overcrowd them. This will ensure they roast evenly and get crispy.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast for about 20-25 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through to promote even crisping. They should be golden brown and crispy on the outside.

Add Parmesan: After roasting, remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven. While they are still hot, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and slightly browned.

Garnish and Serve: Once done, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the Brussels sprouts and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately while they're hot and crispy!
