Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

Prepare the Skewers: If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to avoid burning in the oven.

Make the Marinade: In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Whisk until well combined.

Marinate the Shrimp: Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the bowl with the garlic butter mixture. Toss to coat the shrimp evenly. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for about 15-30 minutes for maximum flavor.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Assemble the Skewers: Thread the marinated shrimp onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each shrimp for even cooking.

Roast the Shrimp: Place the skewers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a lightly greased baking dish. Roast in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque.

Garnish and Serve: Remove the skewers from the oven and transfer them to a serving platter. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for extra zest.
