Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus extra for garnish)

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper, to taste

Lemon slices, for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Baking Dish: Lightly grease a baking dish with cooking spray or a little olive oil to prevent the salmon from sticking.

Make the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, fresh parsley, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir well to ensure the garlic and herbs are evenly mixed with the butter.

Arrange the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the prepared baking dish. If the fillets have skin, you may lightly score it to absorb flavor better.

Add the Garlic Butter: Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the salmon fillets, ensuring that each piece is well coated. Reserve a little garlic butter for drizzling at the end.

Bake the Salmon: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove the salmon from the oven and drizzle any remaining garlic butter from the dish over the top. Garnish with additional fresh parsley and serve with lemon slices on the side.
