Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon instant yeast

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

1/4 cup warm water (about 110°F/43°C)

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Extra flour for dusting

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar. Whisk them together until well mixed.

In a separate bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, warm water, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix well until the ingredients are fully incorporated.

Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough begins to form.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic. If the dough is too sticky, sprinkle a little extra flour as needed.

Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.

Once risen, punch down the dough to release the air. Shape the dough into a loaf or divide it into small rolls based on your preference.

Place the shaped dough into a greased loaf pan or on a lined baking sheet for rolls. Cover again and let it rise for an additional 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Optionally, brush the top of the loaf with a little melted butter for a golden crust.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.

Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 2 hours | Servings: 1 loaf (about 10 slices)
