Ingredients

2 ripe bananas, mashed

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup oat flour (or all-purpose flour)

1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Mix Wet Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract. Mix well until smooth and creamy.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and oat flour until evenly combined.

Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. If using, fold in the chocolate chips and nuts.

Pour into Dish: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).

Cool and Serve: Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, cut them into squares and enjoy!
