2 ripe avocados

1 small lime (juiced)

1 medium tomato (diced)

1/4 cup red onion (finely chopped)

1 small garlic clove (minced)

1-2 tablespoons fresh cilantro (chopped)

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.

    Using a fork or a potato masher, mash the avocados to your desired level of creaminess.

      Add the lime juice right away to prevent browning and mix well.

        Incorporate the diced tomato, chopped red onion, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, and ground cumin (if using) into the bowl.

          Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.

            Taste and adjust seasoning if required, adding more lime juice or salt if desired.

              Serve immediately with tortilla chips, or cover with plastic wrap directly on the surface of the guacamole to prevent browning if storing.
