Ingredients

1 pound fresh strawberries (washed and dried)

8 ounces semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for a smoother chocolate)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, for added flavor)

Sprinkles, chopped nuts, or sea salt (for toppings, optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Ingredients: Start by washing the strawberries gently in cool water. Make sure to pat them dry completely with a clean paper towel, as any moisture can affect the chocolate coating.

Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until smooth and fully melted (about 1-2 minutes total). Alternatively, melt the chocolate using a double boiler on the stovetop.

Add Flavor (Optional): Once the chocolate is melted, stir in the vanilla extract for an extra touch of flavor.

Dip the Strawberries: Hold each strawberry by the green leaves and dip it into the melted chocolate, ensuring that at least half of it is coated. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off.

Add Toppings (Optional): If you'd like, sprinkle the dipped strawberries with your choice of toppings before the chocolate sets. This can be sprinkles, chopped nuts, or a pinch of sea salt for a sweet and salty twist.

Set the Chocolate: Place the dipped strawberries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Once finished with all the strawberries, place the baking sheet in the refrigerator to allow the chocolate to harden. This should take about 30 minutes.

Serve & Enjoy: Once the chocolate is fully set, serve the strawberries immediately, or store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days.
