Easy Chicken Parmesan Sliders

Ingredients
  

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup marinara sauce

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt & pepper to taste

12 slider buns (mini brioche or regular slider buns)

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Prepare the Chicken: Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and let cool for a few minutes before shredding.

      Combine Chicken with Sauce: Once the chicken is shredded, mix it in a bowl with the marinara sauce and half of the mozzarella cheese. Stir until well combined.

        Assemble the Sliders: Slice the slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in a greased baking dish. Spoon the chicken mixture evenly over the bottom buns. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and the grated Parmesan cheese on top.

          Cover and Bake: Place the top halves of the sliders on top of the cheese layer. Brush the tops with a little olive oil and cover the baking dish with aluminum foil. Bake for 15 minutes.

            Add Final Touch: After 15 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
