1 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup white chocolate chips (optional)

Powdered sugar for dusting

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

    Cream the Butter and Cheese: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and butter. Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat them together until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

      Add Sugar and Egg: Gradually add in the granulated sugar, continuing to mix until well combined. Then, add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until the batter is smooth.

        Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.

          Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the butter-cream cheese mixture. Mix on low speed until everything is just combined. If you’re using white chocolate chips, gently fold them in at this stage.

            Form Cookies: Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving some space between each cookie as they will spread slightly.
