Ingredients

1 pound large fresh strawberries

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (or finely chopped nuts for a different texture)

Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

Preparation of Strawberries: Rinse the strawberries under cold water and gently pat them dry with a paper towel. Using a sharp knife, slice off the tops of the strawberries, creating a flat base for them to stand upright. Hollow out the center of each strawberry gently using a small melon baller or a spoon, being careful not to break the sides.

Make the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice. Mix until smooth and creamy using an electric mixer or a whisk.

Add Texture: Fold in the mini chocolate chips or chopped nuts into the cream cheese mixture for added texture and flavor.

Fill the Strawberries: Using a piping bag fitted with a large star tip or a small spoon, fill each hollow strawberry with the cream cheese mixture. Make sure to mound it slightly for a delightful presentation.

Garnish and Chill: Top each filled strawberry with a small piece of mint leaf for garnish. Arrange them on a serving platter and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the filling to set slightly.

Serve: Bring them to your next gathering and watch them disappear! These delightful bites are best enjoyed chilled.
