Ingredients

1 cup (230g) unsalted butter

2 cups (400g) granulated sugar

1 cup (200g) brown sugar, packed

4 large eggs

1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract

1/2 cup (120ml) Baileys Irish Cream

1 cup (120g) unsweetened cocoa powder

1 cup (140g) all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup (175g) chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)

Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal.

Melt the Butter: In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, remove from heat and let it cool slightly before adding the sugars.

Mix Sugars and Eggs: In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Mix until well blended. No need for an electric mixer; a wooden spoon works just fine.

Add Eggs and Flavors: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, stir in the vanilla extract and Baileys Irish Cream until everything is combined.

Incorporate Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Add Chocolate Chips: Fold in the chocolate chips gently to distribute them evenly throughout the brownie batter.

Bake the Brownies: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).

Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Using the parchment overhang, lift the brownies out and place them on a wire rack to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Optional Dusting: Just before serving, you can dust the brownies with powdered sugar for an extra touch of elegance.
