Ingredients

2 cans of refrigerated crescent roll dough

16 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup sour cream

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 large eggs

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/4 teaspoon salt

Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Fresh berries (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Baking Dish: Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray or butter.

Unroll Crescent Rolls: On a clean surface, unroll one can of the crescent roll dough. Do not separate into triangles; instead, press it into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form a crust. Pinch any seams together to make it an even layer.

Mix Cream Cheese Filling: In a medium mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy (about 2-3 minutes).

Add Remaining Ingredients: Add the sour cream, vanilla extract, eggs (one at a time), flour, lemon juice, and salt to the cream cheese mixture. Beat on low speed until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

Pour Filling: Pour the cream cheese filling over the crescent roll crust in the baking dish, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

Top with Second Layer: Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough. Lay the strips over the cream cheese filling, stretching and sealing them at the edges to cover the filling completely.

Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cheesecake filling is set.

Cool: Remove the dish from the oven and let it cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Transfer to the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.

Serve: Once chilled, dust the top with powdered sugar and garnish with fresh berries if desired. Cut into squares and enjoy this delightful twist on classic cheesecake!
