Ingredients

2 tubes of refrigerated crescent roll dough

16 oz cream cheese, softened

¾ cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 large eggs

½ cup sour cream

1 tablespoon lemon juice

½ teaspoon lemon zest

½ cup fresh berries (blueberries, raspberries, or strawberries) for topping (optional)

Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Prepare the Crescent Base: Unroll one tube of crescent roll dough and carefully press it into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, sealing all seams to create an even layer.

Make the Cheesecake Filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar until smooth and creamy. Add the vanilla extract, and mix well. Then incorporate the eggs one at a time, blending well after each addition.

Add Sour Cream and Flavors: Mix in the sour cream, lemon juice, and lemon zest until everything is well combined and smooth.

Spread the Filling: Pour the cheesecake filling directly onto the crescent roll base in the baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Top with Second Crescent Layer: Unroll the second tube of crescent roll dough and gently lay it over the cheesecake filling. Do your best to seal any seams, although it's okay if it doesn't cover completely; some filling may peek through.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cheesecake filling is set.

Cool: Remove from the oven and allow the bars to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Then transfer to the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to chill and firm up.

Serve: Once chilled, cut into bars. If desired, top them with fresh berries and a dusting of powdered sugar for an extra touch.

Enjoy: Serve your delicious Crescent Cheesecake Bars cold or at room temperature and enjoy the creamy, luscious flavor!
