Ingredients

8 oz fettuccine pasta

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 tbsp unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup baby spinach

Salt and black pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the shrimp and season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant (be careful not to burn the garlic).

Combine the Ingredients: Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Add the baby spinach, cooking until wilted (about 1-2 minutes).

Toss with Pasta and Shrimp: Add the cooked fettuccine and shrimp back into the skillet. Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until you reach your desired sauce consistency. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.

Serve: Divide the creamy garlic shrimp pasta among serving plates. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and lemon wedges on the side for an extra zing.
