Ingredients

1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix

1 cup creamy or crunchy peanut butter

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 cup granulated sugar

2 cups milk

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup chopped peanuts (optional)

½ cup butter, melted

1 tsp vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.

Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, cocoa powder, and granulated sugar. Whisk gently until well blended.

Add the Wet Ingredients: Pour in the milk, melted butter, peanut butter, and vanilla extract into the dry mixture. Mix with a wooden spoon or spatula until just combined. Don’t worry about lumps – it’ll all come together during baking!

Add Chocolate Chips and Peanuts: Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and chopped peanuts if using. This will add an extra crunch and richness to your cake.

Bake the Cake: Pour the batter into the greased baking dish, spreading it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Cool and Serve: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes before cutting into squares. You can serve it warm or at room temperature, and for an extra treat, drizzle some melted chocolate on top or add a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
