Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Zest of 1 lemon

2 tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped (plus extra for garnish)

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Lemon slices, for garnish

Optional: Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a baking dish.

Prepare the Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, chopped dill, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine all the flavors.

Place the Salmon: Arrange the salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet or in the baking dish.

Baste with Butter: Generously spoon the buttery lemon-dill mixture over each salmon fillet, ensuring they are well coated.

Add Lemon Slices: Place lemon slices on top of the salmon fillets for added flavor and presentation.

Bake the Salmon: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is opaque throughout. The cooking time may vary slightly depending on the thickness of the fillets.

Garnish and Serve: Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with extra fresh dill and parsley if desired. Serve immediately with your choice of sides, such as roasted vegetables or a fresh garden salad.
