Ingredients

1 box yellow cake mix

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup chopped pecans

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 cup caramel sauce

1 cup sweetened condensed milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

Whipped cream for topping

Extra chopped pecans for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Prepare the yellow cake mix according to the package instructions, using melted butter instead of oil for a richer flavor. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

While the cake is baking, prepare the praline sauce. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, heavy cream, and 1/2 cup of chopped pecans. Stir until the mixture begins to boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes, until it thickens slightly. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

Once the cake is done baking, remove it from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes. Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the top of the warm cake.

Drizzle the praline sauce evenly over the cake, ensuring it seeps into the holes for maximum flavor. Let the cake cool completely, allowing the sauce to soak in.

Once cooled, pour the caramel sauce over the top of the cake. Spread the sweetened condensed milk over the cake as well, creating a luscious layer.

Top with whipped cream, and sprinkle extra chopped pecans on top for an added crunch and garnish.

Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving to let all the flavors meld together. Slice and serve for a decadent dessert experience!
