Ingredients

3 large Granny Smith apples, thinly sliced

1 tablespoon lemon juice

½ teaspoon cinnamon

½ cup peanut butter (or almond butter for a nut-free version)

½ cup granola (your choice of flavor)

½ cup mini chocolate chips (dark or milk chocolate)

¼ cup shredded coconut (unsweetened)

Optional toppings: chopped nuts, drizzled caramel or honey, whipped cream

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare Apples: In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice and cinnamon until evenly coated. This will add flavor and prevent browning.

Layer Apples: On a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spread the apple slices out evenly in a single layer.

Bake Apples: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the apples are tender but not mushy.

Add Peanut Butter: Remove the apples from the oven. Drizzle or dollop generous spoonfuls of peanut butter over the warm apple slices.

Top it Off: Sprinkle the granola, mini chocolate chips, and shredded coconut over the peanut buttered apples, ensuring even coverage.

Final Bake: Return the baking sheet to the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes, allowing the toppings to warm and melt slightly.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes. Drizzle with caramel or honey if desired, and serve warm. Optional: top with whipped cream or additional nuts for an extra touch of indulgence!
