Ingredients

6 slices of thick-cut bacon, chopped

1 medium onion, diced

3 cups frozen hash browns

8 large eggs

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Cook the Bacon: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate, leaving some grease in the skillet.

Sauté the Onions: In the same skillet with the residual bacon fat, add the diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat.

Prepare the Hash Browns: In a large mixing bowl, combine the frozen hash browns, sautéed onions, and crispy bacon. Stir well to combine.

Make the Egg Mixture: In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Assemble the Casserole: Spread the hash brown mixture evenly in the greased baking dish. Pour the egg mixture over the hash browns, ensuring it is evenly distributed. Finally, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.

Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the egg is set and the top is golden and bubbly.

Cool and Garnish: Remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for about 5-10 minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Serve: Cut into squares and serve warm. Enjoy your delicious Bacon Egg and Hash Brown Casserole for breakfast, brunch, or any meal of the day!
