I looked at Emily, and she was watching me, her eyes filled with tears. I knew I had to reassure her, to let her know that I was there for her, no matter what. But as I turned to the doctor, I saw a look of concern on his face. "We need to talk about your husband's role in this," he said, his voice serious. "We need to know why he ignored the earlier diagnosis, and what he's been thinking." I felt a sense of trepidation rising up within me. What would the doctor discover? And what would happen next?

As the doctor continued to explain the situation, I felt a sense of unease growing inside me. I knew that I had to confront my husband, to ask him why he had ignored the earlier diagnosis. But as I thought about it, I realized that I was scared. What would he say? And what would happen to our family? I looked at Emily, and she was watching me, her eyes filled with fear and uncertainty. I knew I had to be strong for her, to protect her from the truth. But as I turned to the doctor, I saw a look of determination on his face. "We'll get to the bottom of this," he said, his voice firm. "And we'll make sure that Emily gets the care she needs." "What's going on?" he asked, his voice hesitant. And I knew that the truth was about to come out, in a way that would change our lives forever. But as I opened my mouth to speak, I heard the doctor say, "We've been trying to reach you, Mr..."

And then, just as the doctor was about to reveal the truth, my husband's phone rang, and he answered it, his face changing from concern to shock. "What?" he exclaimed, his voice loud and incredulous. "When?" I felt a sense of confusion rising up within me. What was going on? And what did it have to do with Emily's condition? But as I looked at my husband, I saw a look of fear and panic on his face, and I knew that something was very wrong. And then, just as I was about to ask him what was going on, he said, "I have to go..."

"What's going on?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady. My husband hesitated, then began to explain the phone call. As he spoke, I felt a sense of anger and betrayal rising up within me.
