I Sent a Gift to My Sister’s Wedding That Unraveled Everything She Stole From Me

I Sent a Gift to My Sister’s Wedding That Unraveled Everything She Stole From Me Save

Infiltrating the Ceremony

My heart raced as I stood outside St. Jude’s, the sound of laughter wafting through the doors. I adjusted my black dress and pulled the hood of my jacket over my head. I had to do this. I had to see it all for myself.

Crouching low, I slipped inside the shadowy foyer. The lavish decorations made me feel like I’d stepped into another life—a life stolen from me. I pressed my back against the cool marble wall, catching glimpses of smiling guests and the vibrant floral arrangements that seemed to mock my presence.

There she was—Sienna, radiant in white, as if she were the sun. I clenched my fists, reminding myself why I was here. I pulled out the USB drive containing all the evidence I had compiled against Arthur. This was my moment.

As the ceremony began, I remained hidden, my breath coming in short bursts. I could see Arthur, his perfect smile beaming down the aisle at Sienna. I hated how easily he fit in. I hated how the world had shifted in his favor while I was left with nothing.

Suddenly, I spotted a familiar face in the corner: Marcus, my former colleague, mingling with the guests. He’d helped me trace every suspicious transaction at Vance Crest Holdings. Our eyes locked for just a moment—he nodded subtly, as if to say he was ready to back me up when the time came.

I gathered my courage. Just as I was about to step forward, I caught a fragment of a hushed conversation. Arthur stood with a tall man I didn’t recognize, their heads bent close together. “The board has no idea we’re controlling everything from behind the scenes,” Arthur said, a sinister edge to his tone. “Once the wedding is over, we can finalize the next phase.”

My stomach knotted. What was he planning? I was about to step out of the shadows and confront him when Sienna turned, her gaze sweeping the room. Did she sense me? I hesitated, my heart pounding. It was now or never.

The Confrontation

I burst into the reception, the music abruptly stopping as all eyes turned toward me. “Arthur!” I shouted, brandishing the USB drive like a weapon. “You’re not who you pretend to be!”

The guests gasped, confusion and shock swirling in the air. Sienna’s expression morphed from surprise to fury. “Eleanor, what are you doing?” she asked, her voice rising above the murmur of the crowd.

“I’m showing everyone the truth,” I replied, voice steady despite the weight of the accusations I was about to unleash. “You’ve been lying. The money from our family business isn’t going to legitimate investments. It’s all part of a scheme you’ve orchestrated with these forged documents!”

Arthur’s veneer of charm cracked, revealing a flash of panic as he glanced at Sienna. “Don’t listen to her, Sienna. She's delusional!”

But I pressed on, feeling a rush of adrenaline. “You’ve manipulated everyone, turning my life into a puppet show for your benefit! You deceived us all!”

Before I could drop the final bombshell, Sienna stepped forward, her face pale yet determined. “You think you’re the only one with secrets, Eleanor?” she hissed, her eyes narrowing. “I’ve known about Arthur’s past all along.”

The room fell silent, the tension palpable. “And there’s something you don’t know,” Sienna continued, “We had a plan to take down our family’s corrupt practices together. You were part of it all along.”
