I Never Expected My First Intimate Moment Would Turn Into a Fight for My Life
Room 806
Meera’s heart pounded against her chest like a wild drum, each beat echoing louder than the last. She couldn’t shake the feeling of being hunted. Here she was, in her first intimate moment, standing before Ajay, the man she thought she could trust. Now, everything felt like a warped reflection of the truth.
The cold metal of Ajay's camera glinted ominously. She couldn't breathe. Every question she had asked him over the past year floated back, taunting her. What had she really known about him? Would he still be the same man if she peeled away the layers? The moments they shared, the laughter, the intimacy—were they all a part of this twisted game?
“Ajay, what do you mean you needed to be sure?” she managed to whisper, her voice trembling.
He turned to her, his expression unreadable. “I had to know you weren’t involved with him. That you weren't another target.”
Meera felt the blood drain from her face. “Who—who are you talking about?”
“Sandeep. The man who destroyed my sister.” The chill in his voice cut deeper than any blade.
Her hands clutched her purse, heart racing. “But why me? I don’t even know him.”
“That’s exactly why,” Ajay’s voice hardened. “You remind me of her. Intelligent, cautious, and easy to manipulate.”
A memory flickered in her mind: Sandeep’s persistent questions about her personal life. Had it all been a setup? She stared at the photographs Ajay had laid out on the table. Each one felt like a weight on her chest, their meanings heavy and concealed.
The door rattled again, and Meera’s breath caught. She glanced toward it, her pulse quickening. “What do we do?”
“We get out. Now.”
Into the Abyss
Ajay’s urgency jolted her from her thoughts. He moved with purpose, swiftly pocketing the photographs while keeping an eye on the man outside. Meera stood frozen, still processing the surreal flood of revelations. Everything she thought she understood about her life was crumbling.
“What if he sees us?” she murmured, glancing nervously at the door.
“He won’t. Not if we’re careful,” Ajay assured her. “But we need to move.”
The cold air from the hallway rushed in as Ajay cracked the door open slightly. Meera felt the chill touch her skin. Adrenaline surged through her; she could feel her instincts screaming for alarm. Following his lead, she stepped towards him, her heart racing.
As they slipped into the dimly lit hallway, she couldn’t shake the memories of Ajay's kind gestures, the way he listened, the way he had built her trust. Was it all just a ruse? A part of her couldn’t believe it was. But another part—a darker part—couldn’t let go of the icy grip of doubt.
He motioned for her to stay close. They moved silently, each footfall echoing against the cold tiles. The world felt almost surreal, like a scene from a movie where the heroes barely escape the villain lurking in the shadows.
“Which way?” she whispered, scanning the hallway.
“Down the stairs. Less chance of being caught.”
As they descended, the quietness pressed around them, the sense of impending danger thickening the air. Meera’s mind raced. The realization of what Ajay had done enveloped her. How could he have put her at risk like that?
They reached the ground floor, and Ajay paused. He pulled out his phone, checking for incoming messages. Seconds felt like hours. They needed to hurry, but fear kept her feet planted to the ground.
“We’ll go to my brother’s place. It’s safe there.”
