I Lost My Marriage and My Mansion, but What Happened Next Exposed Their Darkest Secrets

I Lost My Marriage and My Mansion, but What Happened Next Exposed Their Darkest Secrets Save

Uncovering the Truth

As I sat in my office, surrounded by stacks of paperwork, my heart raced. I needed to find something—anything—that could help my case. Opening the financial records felt like peeling back layers of lies.

Hours passed as I sifted through statements and transactions. Then it hit me. Hidden accounts. Multiple accounts in Grant's name, funded solely by money I earned. My blood ran cold.

How could I have missed this? I quickly scribbled notes, piecing together the evidence of his betrayal. Each entry was a reminder of his audacity, of Elaine's complicity. The realization crashed over me that they had conspired together, siphoning funds from my business to support his extravagance.

“This is not just about a divorce,” I murmured to myself, feeling a fire ignite in my chest. “This is about reclaiming what’s mine.”

But as I gathered my things and prepared to leave, I felt a chill. Stepping out of the office, I froze. There he was—Grant, leaning against my car, waiting for me.

Desperate Pleas

“Can we talk?” Grant's voice was low, almost pleading. I could see the weight of regret etched on his face. “I know things got out of hand.”

“Out of hand? You financed your wedding with my money!” I shot back, anger bubbling within me. “You think I’m going to just give you a pass?”

“I want to work this out—some kind of agreement for our family's sake,” he insisted, reaching for my hand. But I yanked it away, feeling a wave of revulsion.

“Family? You’ve made your choice, Grant. I’m done.” I felt triumphant, but there was a flicker of desperation in his eyes that made me hesitate.

Before I could say anything else, I heard his phone ring. He stepped back, raising it to his ear. I thought about walking away, but curiosity held me in place.

“Yeah, it’s all set. Just need to finalize the details,” he said, his voice low. “We can leave tomorrow. Sienna and I will be out of the country before it gets messy.”

My heart dropped. The moment escalated when I overheard Grant on the phone, planning to flee the country with Sienna, revealing the extent of his betrayal.
