I Installed Cameras in My Home After My Baby’s Doctor Warned Me About Her Disturbing Behavior Around My Husband

I Installed Cameras in My Home After My Baby’s Doctor Warned Me About Her Disturbing Behavior Around My Husband Save

Confronting Florence

“Florence, we need to talk,” I said, my voice trembling as I stepped into the living room. The footage played in my mind like a nightmare, and I felt my heart pound. “I saw something on the cameras.”

Florence’s eyes narrowed, and she folded her arms. “What do you mean, dear?” Her tone was sweet, but a hint of irritation threaded through it. I took a deep breath, feeling the weight of the moment.

“I saw you talking to Hannah. You seemed... different. What were you saying to her?”

“Oh, it’s nothing really,” she waved a hand dismissively, but I could see the twitch in her jaw. “Babies pick up on stress. Maybe you’re projecting.”

“Projecting?” My voice rose. “You sounded anxious! What if that's what's making Hannah cry?”

She scoffed, the warmth vanishing from her expression. “You’re just stressed from going back to work. That’s affecting your judgment more than you realize.”

I felt my cheeks burn. “But it’s your actions I’m concerned about! This isn’t just me being an anxious mother.”

“You’re overreacting, Lauren. This is all in your head.”

Her deflection stung. I took a step back, feeling a mix of anger and vulnerability. “Maybe I should just watch the footage again then.”

“And what will that prove?” Florence’s voice was sharp now, her usual calm demeanor cracked. The tension hung heavy in the air, a palpable dread.

That night, as I lay next to Hannah in the dark, I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was deeply wrong. The moonlight filtered through the window, casting shadows on her tiny face. I noticed her sleeping fitfully, twitching occasionally, as if grappling with some unseen terror.

Confronting Brandon

Determined to find answers, I took a deep breath and squared my shoulders. “Brandon, can we talk?” I called out as I found him in the kitchen, pouring himself a glass of water. His back stiffened, and he turned slowly.

“What’s up?” he asked, the casualness of his voice feeling forced. I gestured for him to sit at the table.

“I need to discuss something serious about Hannah's behavior and... your comments about it.”

Brandon’s expression shifted, an edge of defensiveness creeping in. “What about my comments? I was just trying to help.”

I pressed on, my heart racing. “You said she cries whenever you come around. What do you think that means?”

“I don’t know, maybe she just doesn’t like me,” he replied, but there was an underlying irritation in his voice.

“It’s not just that! I found evidence that something’s not right,” I insisted. I fished out my phone, hands trembling as I accessed the footage of Florence with Hannah. “Just watch this.”

His eyes widened in shock as the video played, capturing the unsettling moments I had witnessed. “What is this?”

Before I could explain, Brandon shot up from his seat, rage and disbelief mingling on his face. “This is ridiculous!” he shouted, storming out of the room.

My heart sank as I stood there, the silence pressing down on me. I felt utterly isolated and confused, grappling with the reality that was spiraling beyond my control.
