I Never Imagined My Touch Could Expose a Mafia Boss’s Deadly Secret and Shatter His Twisted Lies

I Never Imagined My Touch Could Expose a Mafia Boss’s Deadly Secret and Shatter His Twisted Lies

Confrontation in the Penthouse

“Stop it, you’re going to kill him!” a voice hissed from the doorway, but Marco Bellucci only stared at the nurse’s trembling hands.

“You think you can hide that scar from me?” I whispered, the words catching on my own breath.

I stepped out of the elevator into the cavernous penthouse, the doors closing behind me with a thud that sounded like a warning.

The wood paneling stretched up like a dark forest, and the Hudson River glimmered through floor‑to‑ceiling windows, casting a cold blue light over the black wheelchair in the center of the room.

Marco Bellucci—forty‑one, broad‑shouldered, eyes as sharp as a blade—sat rigidly, his shirt pulled away from his right shoulder.

“Raise your arm,” I said, my voice steady despite the cold seeping into my bones.

“I can’t,” he snapped, the edge of his pride cutting through the silence.

“You can,” I replied, feeling the weight of his stare. “You raised it two inches when I touched your shoulder ten minutes ago.”

His eyebrows knit together. “That was involuntary.”

“Then let’s see whether your involuntary muscles are more cooperative than you are.”

Adrian Vale, his security chief, stood like a statue near the fireplace, his shoulders unmoving as the marble floor.

He didn’t need to say a word—his presence alone warned me that any misstep would be met with more than a glare.

I slipped two fingers beneath Marco’s upper arm, feeling the faint tremor of a muscle that should have been dead.

“Again,” I said, pressing lightly.

He tried, and nothing happened. The room seemed to hold its breath, the low hum of the city outside the only sound.

I could see frustration flickering across Marco’s face, a flash of humiliation hidden beneath his cold mask.

The file had told me he was paralyzed from the waist down after a car explosion on a mountain road outside Lake Como. Spinal trauma, they said, and no progress in eighteen months. Yet his leg muscles showed far less atrophy than I expected, his reflexes varied, his pain responses were inconsistent. Something didn’t add up.

Scar Revealed, Secrets Unveiled

I leaned closer, eyes narrowing on the right shoulder where the shirt hung loose.

A pale line curved behind his shoulder, a scar that should have been a simple reminder of his accident.

But under the scar, four tiny punctures glittered like micro‑dots of frost.

“What are those?” I demanded, my fingertips hovering over the marks.

Marco’s jaw tightened. The room’s cold light glinted off the tiny holes, making them look almost deliberate.

“You think you can read me like a textbook?” he hissed, his voice low, threatening.

“No,” I said, “I think you hired someone to rewrite your story.”

He stared at the scar, the silence stretching, his eyes flickering between denial and something raw.

“My doctor—Dr. Carmine Varga—he performed a procedure,” he finally muttered, voice barely above a whisper.

“A procedure to… what? Fix a broken spine?” I pressed, heart hammering.
