I Walked Out of His Wedding with My Twins and Left Him Speechless

I Walked Out of His Wedding with My Twins and Left Him Speechless Save

Naomi’s Arrival

The sleek black car eased onto the marble driveway, its engine a muted purr against the distant string quartet.

Heads turned; a collective gasp rose from the garden rows as the passenger door swung open.

Naomi stepped out, a sturdy coat draped over her shoulders, a toddler’s hand clutched in each palm.

Lily, hair tangled like wild wheat, stared wide-eyed at the glittering arches, while Sam, cheeks flushed from the ride, clutched his sister’s wrist.

“Mom, look!” Lily whispered, voice trembling with both awe and fear.

Naomi’s gaze flicked to the towering marquee that read “Ashby & Vandermeer.” She felt the weight of every eye—rich, curious, judgmental.

Across the lawn, Elise stood beside Roland, her smile as cold as the marble statues flanking the entrance.

“Well, this is… unexpected,” Elise said, her tone sweet but edged with steel.

The wedding planner, a harried woman in a pastel suit, clutched a clipboard, lips moving in a silent prayer that the ceremony could stay on schedule.

“Ladies and gentlemen, please take your seats,” a voice announced, but the murmur of the crowd swallowed the words.

Naomi lifted the twins, their small bodies pressing against her, and felt the past surge—five years of abandonment, five years of survival.

She inhaled the scented air, the scent of roses and desperation, and walked forward, each step a silent defiance.

Naomi’s Claim

She stopped at the center of the courtyard, the twins’ tiny feet pattering on the polished stone.

Silence hung like heavy drapery; the string quartet’s violins strained, waiting.

“Everyone,” Naomi began, voice steady despite the tremor in her hands.

She lifted a crumpled piece of paper, its edges worn, the ink slightly smudged.

“This is proof of Roland’s betrayal.” She held the document aloft, the light catching the signature.

Gasps rippled through the guests; murmurs turned to sharp whispers.

Roland’s mother, a regal woman with pearls gleaming, clutched her pearls tighter, eyes widening as the paper fluttered.

“What… what is that?” Elise hissed, her composure cracking.

“An adoption document,” Naomi said, voice low but fierce. “Signed by Roland Ashby, naming these children—my twins—as his legal heirs.”

The twins stared, confused, at the swirl of grown‑up drama surrounding them.
