I Discovered My Husband’s Secret Profession When I Followed Him to His Office, and My World Crumbled.

I Discovered My Husband’s Secret Profession When I Followed Him to His Office, and My World Crumbled. Save

Every Review Was Written by a Woman

I stared at the screen, the glowing reviews scrolling like a chorus of strangers.

“Marco changed my life.” – a woman in her thirties.

“I was terrified, but he made me feel beautiful again.” – a hushed tone from a forty‑year‑old.

Every single one signed off with a maiden name, a nickname, a grateful sigh. My stomach tightened.

I booked the appointment under my own name, slipped into the car and drove, the city humming outside.

The building was nondescript, a bland brick façade on the edge of town, nothing like a clinic.

The receptionist, impeccably dressed, smiled. “Marco will see you shortly.”

Four women sat in the waiting room, eyes flickering to the door, whispering softly.

When the door opened, I stepped in.

Marco stood with his back to me, arranging a stack of glossy magazines on his desk – each cover a sleek portrait of elegant women, titles like “The Elite Companion” and “Unveiling Luxury”.

My heart hammered. The magazine spines glinted under the fluorescent light, a stark contrast to the sterile image he’d sold me.

I swallowed, feeling the world tilt.

The Confrontation

“Marco?” My voice cracked the silence.

He turned, eyes wide, a gasp caught in his throat.

“What are you doing here?” he blurted, the words tumbling out.

I held up my phone, the screen still displaying the glowing reviews.

He stared, his mouth forming a thin line.

“I… I run a… a high‑end escort service,” he stammered, each syllable a desperate shield.

“Paid companionship for affluent women,” he added, eyes darting to the magazines, to the waiting women, to the door.

The veneer of a medical practice shattered, replaced by a cold, lucrative secret.

“All those appointments… they’re not consultations. They’re meetings,” he whispered, his voice shaking.

I felt the floor sway beneath my feet, the truth a blade in my throat.

His face went pale, the color draining as the realization hit him – I’d seen everything.

Before he could utter another word, a soft whir rose from the ceiling.

A hidden camera, its red eye blinking to life, began recording our confrontation, for the mob’s eyes.

Section 3 – The Confidential List

The receptionist slid a slim, black folder across the polished desk. “These are the clients, strictly confidential,” she whispered, eyes darting to the waiting room.

Lena’s fingers trembled as she opened it. A printed roster stared back, names in delicate script.
