I Returned Home to Find My Mother Abusing My Wife and Daughter While Hosting a Lavish Party

I Returned Home to Find My Mother Abusing My Wife and Daughter While Hosting a Lavish Party Save

Homecoming Shock

I swung the door open and a wave of heat slammed into me.

Roasted meat, fried appetizers, stale grease, cheap perfume—every scent collided in my nostrils.

Laughter burst from the hallway, glasses clinked, voices overlapped like a chaotic symphony.

Expensive shoes lined the entryway, and twenty women swarmed two folding tables, their chatter a blur.

Bernadette perched at the head of one table, her new designer dress glittering under the chandelier.

“My son bought me this dress,” she announced, voice loud enough to drown the music.

“He says I’m successful now, a mother who deserves royalty.”

Her friends roared with approval, sipping wine that dripped down their cheeks.

“And this condo?” Bernadette continued, eyes glinting. “Living here is practically a five‑star resort.”

I stood frozen, the weight of every word pressing on my chest.

My heart hammered as the reality of the scene settled: my mother, my wife, my daughter—none of it as I’d left it.

Silent Warning

I stalked toward the living room, intent on confronting Bernadette.

She brushed past me, her smile slick. “Weston, darling, you’re just in time for the party!”

I tried to cut through the crowd, but her arm snapped back, dismissing me with a flick.

“Leave it, son, the women need their fun,” she said, laughing.

Frustration surged; I shoved forward, muscles straining against the sea of bodies.

The kitchen doorway loomed, steam curling from a pot like a warning.

Through the doorway, Willow was curled beside the sink, silent, eyes wide as saucers.

Renee stood at the stove, greasy pans clanking, her shoulders trembling.

She caught my gaze, a flicker of terror passing before she forced a strained smile.

Willow’s tiny hand clutched a crumpled scrap of paper.

My breath hitched as she lifted it—written in a shaky scrawl: Help us.

Just then, Bernadette’s voice thundered over the clamor, “If any of you speak out, the women will pay!”
