My Birthday Night Turned Into a Nightmare as My Husband Abandoned Me Bleeding on the Nursery Floor

My Birthday Night Turned Into a Nightmare as My Husband Abandoned Me Bleeding on the Nursery Floor

Bleeding on the Nursery Rug

“Help… I’m bleeding out!”

My voice cracked as the crimson spread across the cream‑colored rug, soaking the fibers like ink.

Every breath felt like a knife; the pain pulsed with each tremor of my hands.

“Ryan,” I whispered, fighting the slick blood that slicked my fingertips, “please… I need a hospital.”

His silhouette lingered in the doorway, eyes glazed, adjusting the collar of an expensive sweater.

“Emma, every woman bleeds after having a baby,” he said flatly, his tone dismissive. “My mother never complained.”

I tried to crawl toward Ethan’s crib, the tiny cries cutting through the silence like shards of glass.

“Please,” I begged again, vision blurring, “I can’t stand up.”

He laughed—a short, cruel sound that echoed off the walls.

“Stop being dramatic. It’s my birthday weekend.” He shrugged, glancing at his packed bags.

“I’m leaving with the guys,” he added, as if that explained everything.

My phone buzzed; I saw his video from the balcony in Aspen, whiskey glass glinting, friends cheering, “Here’s to surviving high‑maintenance wives. Happy birthday to me!”

The sound of his laughter faded as the rug gave way beneath me, the carpet catching my weight before the hardwood slammed into my ribs.

Warm blood soaked the floor, the scent of iron filling the room while Ethan’s wail grew weaker.

I tried to call out, but the words lodged in my throat, the darkness creeping at the edges of my sight.

Ryan Returns

The front door clicked open three days later, and Ryan stepped in humming, a souvenir watch flashing on his wrist.

His smile flickered as his eyes fell on the nursery.

The carpet was a dark, sickening brown, the fibers stiff with dried blood.

The bassinet stood empty, its plush blankets crumpled like discarded dreams.

His breath hitched.

“Emma?” he called, voice trembling, but only the hollow echo answered.

He scanned the room, heart pounding faster than his birthday buzz.

“Ethan?” he whispered, reaching for the crib, only to feel cold air where the baby’s weight should have been.

A faint sobbing drifted from the hallway, thin and desperate.

Ryan turned, his smile gone, replaced by a raw panic he couldn’t mask.

He moved toward the sound, each step echoing in the empty house.

The hallway stretched, shadows swallowing the dim light.

He pushed open a partially hidden door that led down—a basement he never knew existed.

From the darkness, a muffled gasp rose, followed by a sudden, guttural lunge.

Emma’s scream tore through the air as a masked figure surged at her.
